Moving off from left side of the road

Below is the correct procedure for moving off from the left side of the road:

1) Look to the front and then you’re mirrors for traffic and pedestrians. Press the clutch in as far as it will go and select first gear. Press the accelerator pedal slightly and then hold it still, press to generate sufficient power to move. listen to the engine noise do not let the engine roar.

2) Bring up the clutch to the biting point . The biting point is when you feel a slight tug forward, the sound of the engine will drop, and the front of the car will rise up slightly. When you have the biting point hold both feet steady .

3) Check its safe;

4) Look over left shoulder and right shoulder, when moving from left to right shoulder take in the view of the 3 mirrors. Signal right left hand to handbrake be ready to release it. Look again over right shoulder look ahead if safe release handbrake. The car should slowly move forward if not let the clutch up a little more. To increase speed press the accelerator pedal gently and ease up the clutch all the way remove foot from clutch pedal you will need to change to second gear soon after taking off.
